You do not need an account. Universes work exactly the same without one, and your claim code already moves a universe between devices.

Signing in adds one thing: the universes you have made on this device become yours permanently, so clearing your cookies stops losing them. Nothing you have already made is affected — it is adopted, not replaced.

Your email address is used to identify your account and is never shown to anyone.
